Background:

Seascale Primary School was opened in July 1951. Since then it has undergone extensive refurbishment which has created a bright and welcoming building, ideally designed and equipped for delivering the National Curriculum. Facilities include a hall with a stage, a range of gymnastic apparatus, a well-resourced library, attractive music area and technology areas. The technology area is equipped with thirteen computers, all with CD-ROM and access to the internet, the children use these during the day in addition to computers located in classrooms. The wild garden and pond are enhanced by a variety of animal habitats created by the children. The school has a hard play area/netball court, climbing frame, football pitch and Foundation Stage play area all providing superb outdoor facilities for the children. To complement a broad and balanced curriculum, the school also provides an extensive range of extra-curricular activities such as: sports and visits to places of interest to help enrich the children's experience during their time at school.
