Background:
Allithwaite CofE Primary School founded in 1866. It has a broad and balanced curriculum. It also provides various activities such as clarinet, flute, football, netball, gymnastics, basketball, orienteering, chess, drama and French. It provides variety of local visits and residential visits for year three and four with outdoor and ICT activities. The school has strong community links with the school council and has won many healthy school awards. Activemark (2003); DfES achievement award(2003). 'The Christian ethos is a strength of the school. The school takes example from the teachings of Jesus. Mission statement talks of valuing individuality. The schools is committed to providing the opportunity for all individuals to experience success'.
