Background:
Built in 1864, the school was 'extensively modernised' in 1991 and now provides pupils with 'excellent accommodation'. There is an 'extensive' grassed area on the site. St. Michael's hosts a variety of weekly extra-curricular activities including chess, art, computers, soccer, netball, French and choir. A 'popular' after-school club is also offered. School facilities are used by the local guides and scouts, yoga and aerobics classes take place weekly. The computer suite is used two nights a week for adult education and the school is a 'central part' of the Dalston community.
