Background:
Opened in 1969 and extensively remodelled in 1987, Jericho Primary consists of three large teaching spaces subdivided into smaller areas. Pupils have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular French, computers, drama, art, athletics, football, netball, cricket and rugby. Classroom learning is enhanced by educational visits in the local area and pupils in their final year spend a week in a place of geographical or historical interest further afield. A community development centre which provides information and computer technology (ICT) courses for local people was established on the premises in 1997. Very positive, warm and welcoming ethos, which is commented on by all those visiting the school. New management system in place and feeling of forward movement of the school, embracing new ideology by a committed team of staff.
