Housed in a building dating from the middle of the 19th century; surrounded by various play areas that provide opportunities for games. Facilities include three classrooms and a playing field; the school is currently developing adjacent grounds as a garden and educational resource for both school and community. A range of after-school activities includes cricket, rounders, soccer, gymnastics, athletics and netball. Music is taught by a specialist teacher at Key Stage 2. The school enjoys good links with the community and schools such as the Dowdales School, a specialist college for the performing arts; it has the use of other facilities such as the local cricket club; commercial links with Glaxo Smith Klein.
