Background:
Lowick School was built in 1856 in the beautiful Crake Valley. The catchment area touches the shores of Coniston Lake and stretches around over Lowick Common to woodland behind Beacon Tarn. Many families of the school live on working farms or in the Parish and have been attending Lowick School for generations. 'The school has a large community spirit, where learning is considered important to the team of pupils, staff, governors, and parents and where all support one another'.
