Background:
Founded in 1878, Raughton Head has a 'large' school field, a netball pitch, outdoor play apparatus, a garden, a wildlife area and a pond. There are two classrooms, a library, a resources area, a cooking area and an assembly area. The school participates with a local area small schools group, the main activities of which are inter-school cross-country running, a football tournament, a netball tournament and a summer sports day. The vicar takes collective worship once a week and pupils contribute to church decoration when appropriate. An 'active' parent-teacher association raises funds for the school, while pupils also support charities.
