Background:
St Mary's is a small but dynamic Catholic School in the heart of the market town of Ulverston. A new headteacher has just joined at Christmas and lots of changes are currently taking place. The school prides itself on the range of opportunities the school offer to pupils' and the strong academic, community, sporting and artistic traditions. This year, the school begins a programme of installing interactive whiteboards into each classroom and is applying for the Activemark award and Healthy Schools initiative. The school provides many coaching opportunities for junior and infant pupils' and run many Extra-curricular clubs as well as a very successful choir. St Mary's is a modern school with traditional values. The school believes each child is unique and places this philosophy at the centre of the school.
