Background:
Threlkeld Primary School is located in the shadow of Blencathra in the heart of the English Lake District. It is a small, friendly school with 68 pupils' and four teachers assisted by many other staff and helpers. The school offers a wide range of after school courses covering a wide range of subjects including cookery, photography, orienteering, recorders, needlework, dance and first aid. They are co-ordinated by Friends of Threlkeld. The Juniors will be offered an opportunity to go away with the school. A residential experience provides opportunities for personal development, self-discipline, self-reliance and responsibility as well as acquiring new skills and knowledge.
