Background:
Ulverston Victoria High School serves the community of Ulverston, a small market town, and the surrounding areas on Furness and the South Lakes. Students' life is full with trips abroad and to northern theatres and museums. Sports, drama and art are exciting but music is exceptional. In 2003, Richard Butler became Classic FM music teacher of the year. The school council promotes charitable work and leads on healthy action and the training of peer mediators to combat bullying. This is a strong community school being the sole school in the town. It promotes lifelong learning via the successful Adult Education Service.
