Background:
St Paul's is a voluntary aided Church of England Junior School situated in the parish of St Paul's Church on the northeast outskirts of Barrow-in-Furness. The school occupies a light and spacious single-storey building, which is extremely well decorated and cared for. At St Paul's it encourages its pupils to enjoy sporting activities and to learn to work together as a team. It has two netball courts and a grassed playing area at school and it also owns two football pitches at Clovelley Terrace. A range of extra-curricular activities are available at St Paul's either before school, at dinnertime or after school. These activities are to encourage its pupils to learn new hobbies and to develop existing interests. The school aims to provide a caring Christian attitude and to create a friendly and supportive environment in which all children are encouraged to fulfil their potential, academically and physically, and to develop socially and morally.
