Background:

Satterthwaite and Rusland Church of England School is a primary school for boys and girls. The age range of the pupils is four to 11. The school has a rural setting with large grounds for children to play in. the school maintains broad and balanced curriculum. It provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities including: football, hockey, rounders, athletics, swimming, roller-blading and roller-booting and cricket. The school also provides a wide range of opportunities including: canoeing, climbing, gorge walking, fell walking, orienteering and problem solving activities. It facilitates paddock with football pitch for most of the year and a running track in the summer, playground with netball marking, fenced off level concrete play area, village tennis court and village hall.
