Background:
The school is a Church of England (controlled) primary school, and a link with the local Church is maintained, although all children are welcome, and religious education is non-denominational. The school is situated centrally in Storth village, and has a hard play area and grassed playing field. A play wall and two climbing frames have been provided by the parent teacher association. The building dates from 1962 with an infant extension built in 1975. There are two junior classrooms and wet projects area. The infant room also has integral toilets. In a recent development, part of the old kitchen was converted to form a small room for teaching groups and holding meetings. The school is well equipped with educational materials, books, audio-visual aids, computing equipment, furniture and fittings. The school aims to develop understanding of the world in which they live and of the interdependence of individuals, groups, nations and the environment.
